Pooja Bhatt was born on February 24, 1972 in Mumbai with director Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt. His parents divorced and actress Sonia Razdan is her stepmother after her father's second marriage.
His family is closely involved in the films. His grandfather was Nanabhai Bhatt, her uncle Mukesh Bhatt is the co-owner of Vishesh Films and Emraan Hashmi and Vikram Bhatt are relatives.
